How long have you been in business?
I'm a licensed massage instructor RMTI-S0329 since 2005, and have been licensed as an LMT since 2001.
What is your primary product or service?
Being a mobile out-call massage service is a great way to separate myself from the rest of the competition. How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I’ve always felt like massage was my calling. I began exploring the many benefits of massage by massaging my family and friends with my hands and feet for a dollar a session at the age of five. By the time I was in high school, I began practicing massage on classmates and worked my way up to middle/long-distance professional athlete runners. Other than my experience with professional runners, I've really enjoyed the opportunity to work on touring bands and musicians, as music is a large part of my life. As a working film and television actress and stand-in, I’ve also had the opportunity to practice massage therapy on various television/movie sets, which has enabled me to work on many celebrities.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Sometimes it's difficult finding a licensed professional massage therapist these days because the industry is flooded with prostitutes posing as massage therapists. This unfortunately damages the "real" massage therapists' reputations, but I assure you that I've had all the training and have the skills you need to make you feel better. Also, I'd say out of about 30 massage therapists you'll find a really good one, and you'll know it when you do. I've been told by my clients that I give the best massage they've ever had, and that says a lot when I know I'm competing against hundreds of massage therapists in town or even in the whole USA.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
As of now I'm primarily a mobile service, so I usually drive to my clients' locations like homes, concert halls, venues, events, and work. I use my assistant's office for a location if my clients don't already have a place for me to go to.
