Since entering the security industry in 1999, SSG has focused on providing RF and IP-based solutions for security applications. Our background in engineering and process automation has given us a unique perspective for developing security solutions. The Power Engineering group at SSG is a proven leader in the design and construction of substations, generating substations, and electrical power distribution. Our team has extensive experience with high and medium voltage applications for new or upgraded facilities (fixed or portable) as well as engine generators, gas turbine generators, paralleling switchgears, and required auxiliary equipment.
SSG has a wealth of experience providing innovative automation and control solutions for manufacturing, distribution and R&D systems for the life science industries. Starting with the feasibility and budgeting phase, we can work with you right through requirement specifications, detailed design, implementation, installation, start-up, testing, commissioning and qualification. We have experience with all major Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Human Machine Interface (HMI), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.

SSG Environmental is dedicated to meeting the challenges of the municipal water/wastewater industry. Our staff, having years of diverse technology experience and using standard approaches, provides each client with innovative solutions. Our ability to utilize the talents of all SSG employees.
Our services include project design, electrical and control system drawings, system application development (SCADA, HMI, PLC, reporting), network and radio system design and implementation (RF path studies and on-site verification, network architecture specification and development), custom MCC and Switchgear configurations, simulation and testing, site installation and coordination, and on-going maintenance including 24/7 support contracts.
SSG has been installing radios for SCADA and process controls for over fifteen years. This experience has allowed us to migrate into broadband radio network design and implementation.
Broadband radios can be essential to the deployment of a security system over a wide area, where no infrastructure is readily available. SSG has installed wireless networks for government and security applications using the 900MHz, 2.4GHz, 4.9GHz, 5.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequencies. These installations have included single point-to-point radio links to a network incorporating over thirty radios of various frequencies. Distances covered have been from across the street to across cities (more than 15 miles). What’s more, SSG has designed and installed not only the radio networks, but also all the supporting equipment required for the networks to function, including emergency generators and a 290-foot tower.
